The world that Joel was born into was not a welcoming one. From the very beginning, he was met with tears and screams. His mother was afraid to hold him, he was a smaller-than-average baby. But not unhealthy at birth. Unfortunately at this rate, the infant has a good appetite, always welcoming any kind of food.
As we grew with time, he seemed to be the kind of baby that was more self-soothing than reliant on his caretakers. He also couldn’t seem to sit still, he was always looking around trying to find some kind of stimulation. He had trouble falling asleep at night. It seemed as if every time he started to drift off to sleep, he finally would be picked up which would wake him.
It seems that Joel is also a self-soothing baby. He is always chewing on his hands and feet. He seems to have some trouble paying attention to things. His relationship with his mother is distant.
